Founded in 2024 by Hilary Ann Miners and based in New York City, HAM collaborates with iconic national and global brands across food & beverage, beauty, cannabis, and luxury goods. Our projects range from intimate cafés to global retail flagships, fast casual restaurants to hybrid hospitality concepts, pop-up experiences to timeless neighborhood bars.
At HAM, we craft built environments, seasonal activations and guest experiences that are unmistakably their own.
Our designs are the extension of your brand – drawing inspiration from your identity, ethos and the origins of your offering to establish a dialogue between product and place. With each client, our process tailors an aesthetic narrative and look-and-feel that is unique to the concept’s values while curating a guest experience to reflect your programmatic and operational needs. We look for storytelling opportunities from the subtle to the scalable, and bespoke jewel-box moments to grand architectural signatures, to create immersive brand worlds.
Meet the founder
For designer and architect Hilary Ann Miners, design is both process and product, tool and solution, a balance of flair and function. With 18+ years of multidisciplinary experience, Hilary brings thoughtful creativity, deep technical expertise, and client-focused collaboration to every project. She founded her namesake studio to bridge her areas of expertise, retail and hospitality.
From the earliest days of her career at Pompei A.D. creating design prototypes for retail giant Anthropologie, Hilary learned firsthand the impact of visual storytelling and brand cohesion in the physical environment. Most recently, Hilary was the SVP of Environment Design at Brand Bureau, an AvroKO company, where she spearheaded award-winning work for best-in-class hospitality visionaries such as Chef Stephanie Izard, cult beauty brand Sunday Riley, and national bank Capital One.
Hilary holds both a Masters of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
